MSRA preparation

Practise the MSRA under the conditions it is actually sat — and check every answer against its source.

2,200 exam-style questions, a 1,365-condition disease library built from them, 10 full mock papers timed exactly as on the day, and an AI tutor on every question that answers from our own explanations and cited guidelines — never from the open internet.

The stakes

One exam decides where you train for the next three to seven years

Ranked

You are not passing — you are placed

There is no pass mark to clear. Every candidate is ranked, and the distance between an offer and the reserve list is often a handful of marks.

Most of those marks are not lost on topics you revised badly. They are lost on topics you never got to at all. The MSRA takes a few questions each from a very large syllabus, so what decides your score is how much of it you have seen before.

You get about 52 seconds a question. That is not enough time to work something out from scratch. You either recognise the condition or you do not.

Exam technique only helps on questions you already know. It cannot win you marks on a topic you have never read. So the resource you revise from has to be wide enough to cover the whole syllabus, and clear enough that each topic actually sticks.

Dilemmas

Where prepared candidates still lose marks

Professional Dilemmas feels subjective, so candidates leave it late — then discover its logic takes weeks to settle. It carries similar weight to the clinical paper.

~8:1

Applications per training post

Competition ratios keep climbing. For GP and Psychiatry your MSRA score alone sets your national rank — no interview, no portfolio.

What you get

Six parts, all built from the same question bank

The library, the flashcards and the mocks are all generated from the questions, so nothing in one contradicts anything in another.

2,200 questions

1,600 clinical and 600 Professional Dilemmas, covering 1,368 conditions.

Every question gives you a worked explanation, why each wrong option is wrong, and the guideline it came from.

1,365 disease library pages

One page per condition, all in one place, so you are not searching three websites to check a single fact. Search it or browse by specialty and you are on the right page in seconds.

Each page answers the same two questions — how do you spot this condition, and what do you do about it — because those are the only two things the exam ever asks. Read enough of them and you stop working answers out and start recognising them, which is exactly what you need when you have under a minute per question.

10 full mock papers

50 Professional Dilemmas in 95 minutes, then 86 clinical questions in 75. Each paper is timed separately and submits itself when the clock runs out.

Afterwards you get marks by topic, time used against time allowed, and how many of the questions you had already seen before.

2,101 flashcards

The one-line recognition rule from each question, on a spaced-repetition schedule.

Cards you get right come back less often. Cards you get wrong come back sooner.

An AI tutor on every question

Ask why an option is wrong, or defend your ranking and have it challenged.

It answers only from that question's explanation and citations. It has no access to the open internet, and it says when it does not know rather than inventing a figure.

Three written guides

What the MSRA is, the clinical paper, and the Professional Dilemmas paper. All three are free with an account.

Read them before you start and you will know how each paper is structured, how it is timed, how it is scored, and which subjects it actually draws on — so you can plan your revision around the exam rather than guessing at it.

Mentored intensive

Four months, one mentor, and a refund if you do not score above 550.

The £500 tier adds a doctor who has sat the MSRA to everything else on this page. If you meet the conditions and still score 550 or below, you get the £500 back in full.

Questions

Common questions

How many questions are in the bank right now?

2,200 published questions: 1,600 clinical and 600 Professional Dilemmas. The Professional Dilemmas paper is complete. Every number on this page is read from the database when the page loads, so what you see is what is in your account.

The clinical bank continues to grow. New questions are added as they pass review, and every one arrives with a worked explanation, the reasoning against each wrong option, and the guideline it came from — which is what sets the pace. Your access covers everything published during your window, including whatever is added after you join, at no extra cost. Founding-cohort prices are locked from the day you join.

Are these real MSRA questions?

No — and be wary of anyone who implies theirs are. Live exam content is confidential. Every MSRA Masterclass question is original, written to the official blueprint's style, structure and difficulty, and mapped to the official topic areas and domains.

Does it cover Professional Dilemmas properly?

Professional Dilemmas is covered in full, not treated as secondary: 600 scenarios — the paper is complete — with every option defended and cited to GMC guidance. All ten mocks include a full 50-scenario Professional Dilemmas paper, timed at 95 minutes and scored with the exam’s real conventions: near-miss ranking credit and four marks per pick. The AI tutor will question your rankings and explain where the reasoning departs from GMC guidance.

Does this cover specialty interviews?

No. This is an MSRA platform and nothing else. For GP, Core Psychiatry and CAMHS that is the whole process — those specialties rank applicants on MSRA score alone, with no interview. For the others the MSRA decides whether you are shortlisted, and you will need to prepare for the interview separately.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment for a fixed access window matched to your exam timeline. Nothing renews automatically.
